Schatzberg

The Schatzbergbahn takes guests from the town of Auffach via the comfortable 8-seater gondola on a barrier-free journey into the nature and hiking area of the Schatzberg. The 8-seater gondola proceeds up to the mountain station at 1770 metres altitude. From here you get to enjoy the superb mountain panorama. The ‘Schatzberg Alm’ mountain restaurant is close and provides straightforward wheelchair access. Barrier-free toilets are available in the valley and mountain stations respectively.

Easy circular hike with breath-taking 360° views to the mountains in the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps, as well as the Rofan and Karwendel mountain ranges. Starting from the mountain station for the 8-seater Schatzberg gondola, the hike proceeds via the Schatzberg summit to the mountain lake near the Gernalm and back to the starting point (walk time approx. 1 ½ hours).
