Almbahnen I and II

Almbahnen I and II take you direct to Almenwelt Lofer. Taking in an altitude difference of 720 metres (from 630 to 1350m) and heading direct to the starting point of 7 circular hikes, with 4 viewing summits, a new Alpine adventure playground and to the ‘Auf die Alm’ waterfall path.

Red Marble Lake

From the mountain station for the Almbahn II, the 5 km circuit hiking path (4) starts, heading via the enchanted forest to Red Marble lake. This leisurely hike takes you up 2.5 km above the high plateau of Almenwelt Lofer, with some 250 metres altitude difference.

The well-worth seeing, romantic Waterfall path

12 exciting stations along the adventure hiking path ‘Auf die Alm’, proceeds through forests, Alpine pastures and past waterfalls. This hiking path which is set in a beautiful location proceeds from the Loderbichl mountain station, 3 km along the Waterfall path (50). The well-designed path can be tackled from the top to bottom (not suitable for prams).

Alm – Adventure playground

The new adventure playground and plant and animal world near the mountain station for the Almbahn II is a play area for children. Play tower, water games, Salamander slide, rope slide and much more can be found in Almenwelt Lofer.

NEW: Lofi’s treasure hunt

Using the treasure map, all ages get to go out in search of hidden treasure in LOFI’S Almenwelt. The treasure map is available at the valley station for the Almbahn I and has key stamp points, marking points for treasure and instructions about the treasure hunt.
